Dr. Sangkwon Jeong is a professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in MIT in 1992 and worked as a research engineer in the Plasma Fusion Center of MIT doing research for superconducting magnet systems of future tokamak such as International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). Since 1996, he has moved to Korea by taking a professor position at KAIST which is a leading research university in the world. His research is in the areas of cryogenics, applied superconductivity, and refrigeration.
